From the 19th – 22nd October 2023, Nathan David, Head of Foundation at University Campus of Esports, will be competing in the Dodgeball European Championships as part of the England Lions squad.
This event is taking place from Osijek, Croatia, and will bring together the best Dodgeball talent across Europe to compete for the Championship title.
Nathan, who has been an avid player since 2014, will be flying out to Croatia with the team to compete through the Group Stages with the hopes of making it through to the finals to bring back a medal.
“Alongside working at University Campus of Esports I am very proud and privileged to represent the England Lions Dodgeball Team and will be doing so later this month in Osijek. Dodgeball has been a massive part of my life since picking up the sport at university in 2014, and it has taught me so much about hard-work, perseverance, goal setting and achieving as part of a high-performing team in high pressure situations.
“So many of these experiences and traits are shared with our esports students and therefore I hope they enjoy watching from the 19th-22nd October on the big screens around campus. I would like to extend my thanks to my colleagues for their support so far and I look forward to repaying everyone’s good faith by going one-better than last year, and bringing a gold medal back to the Velodrome,” Nathan said.
Matches are due to kick off on Thursday 19th October, and will be streamed live on the European Dodgeball Federation platforms.
