London Legion, the official esports team of University Campus of Esports, has kickstarted the 2023/24 competitive season, debuting multiple new teams across a range of esports titles.
Between the National University Esports League (NUEL), and National Student Esports (NSE), London Legion have 18 teams of varying abilities competing at the collegiate level.
The teams compete in the likes of:
– Overwatch 2
– VALORANT
– League of Legends
– Rocket League
– Call of Duty
– Rainbow Six Siege
Each team was selected through a series of trials, where both first- and second-year students battled it out for a place on the competitive roster.
The 2023/24 competitive season for the NUEL and NSE has officially begun, and all the London Legion teams have completed their first few fixtures of the year.
Overall, it has been a positive outcome for London Legion – bringing home wins across a multitude of titles to put them in a good position moving further into the season.
Louis Skilton, Head of London Legion Competitive and second-year Esports Coaching and Management Student, said: “I’m very excited to see the progress the teams have to offer this year. There is so much potential, and the Legion is more motivated than ever to place our mark in the scene.”
As well as competing in the designated collegiate competitions, London Legion will also take part in external tournaments to support the organisations journey into professional play.
