FINANCE

Student Finance is a government department who grant Tuition Fee Loans, Maintenance Loans and Maintenance Grants. Most students rely on Tuition Fee Loans and Maintenance Loans to financially support their studies throughout their time at university. We suggest each student that requires such support organises their application as soon as Spring, before even receiving any offers.

Each student is assessed on a case by case basis, depending on their household’s financial context.

Once you are in salaried employment above the designated annual threshold, repayments will be taken automatically from your monthly salary on a pre-agreed basis to start repaying the loan.

If late, applicants can still receive the same level of financial support but this may not arrive before their studies begin, which is why we recommend organising this as soon as possible. It can take up to three months for an application to be fully assessed and processed.
