University Campus of Esports and London Legion are pleased to announce the official launch of ‘UCES Couch’ – the new student-led podcast series exploring various areas of esports and gaming.
This new podcast will feature students from the University Campus of Esports giving insight into what it is like to study at the institution, as well as the latest London Legion news.
Coinciding with the main podcast episodes, there will also be episodes spotlighting an individual already established within the industry, with students interviewing them to gain insight into their roles.
The project allows students to gain invaluable experience in production, as well as developing their camera presence in a professional environment. Every element of production and post-production is led by both first- and second-year students – putting their skills into practice alongside their studies.
Moreover, the premise of this podcast being student-led supports the values of the TRI-Curriculum – the University Campus of Esports’ unique academic approach to give students opportunities to ensure they are world-ready upon graduation.
Finnlo Merry, Student and Director of London Legion TV, said: “It’s been fun learning about, and working on different types of media through this new project. Producing a podcast is a completely different workflow to any of the broadcast productions we’ve done before, and getting the chance to collaborate with prominent and experienced professionals from the esports industry has been really exciting.”
New episodes of the podcast will be posted weekly throughout the academic year on both Spotify and the London Legion YouTube account.
