[London, 2024] From Friday 29th March to Monday 1st April, University Campus of Esports and London Legion will be attending the UK’s biggest gaming festival – Insomnia 72.
Taking place in the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham, students and staff will be involved in the exhibition, as well as a range of tournaments being held throughout the event.
In the main exhibition space, University Campus of Esports are set to have a stand in the ‘Education Zone’, of which will showcase the institution, student success, and campus facilities.
As well as being able to network with staff and students on this stand, there will also be a series of broadcasting equipment showing off the bespoke virtual set software used to run a range of projects.
Moreover, Games Design students from the University Campus of Esports will also be showcasing their newly developed game, World War Fruit, in the ‘Indie Zone’ over the entire weekend – with an opportunity for event attendees to play the demo.
This has been an ongoing project for the Games Design students, as they are putting the skills they have developed over the last semester into practice to create a playable product.
Outside of the exhibition, London Legion will be taking part in a range of tournaments across the weekend – with the League of Legends team aiming for a win in the iSeries competition.
These competitions will mark some of the first LAN events for the current London Legion rosters, outside of the NSE and NUEL collegiate leagues.
Tickets are still available for Insomnia 72, and more information about the event can be found on the Insomnia website.
