Games Design with Games Development with Foundation Year
Welcome to the BSc (Hons) Games Design & Games Development (with Foundation Year) course at the University Campus of Esports. The course combines creative games design with technical games development, preparing you to design, build, test, publish, and distribute games within a professional production environment.
Learning is centred around project-based and scenario-based activities that reflect real development challenges. You will work on practical projects designed to build a strong professional portfolio, developing experience across areas such as game mechanics, systems design, gameplay programming, AI, networking, software engineering, data compliance, and production workflows.
You will also work collaboratively across disciplines, bringing together design, development, art, production, and other specialist roles to create projects that reflect contemporary industry practice. Where appropriate, projects may progress beyond development into publication and distribution through professional platforms and other digital storefronts.
Teaching is supported by the UCES TRI-Curriculum, developing your talent, resilience, and professional identity alongside the technical, creative, collaborative, and commercial skills required for careers across the games industry.
